Bay said that the next movie works better with Shia’s character having a new love interest so he decided to find a new starlet to be featured in the next film.  After Bay’s comment, Fox’s PR people have said that it was her decision not to return and she wishes the franchise the best.

I don’t know about you but this makes me actually want to watch the next Transformers movie.  I cannot stand Megan Fox.  I think she is a horrible actress and relies too much on her looks.  That’s why her big solo headliner [Jennifer's Body] picture was all about her looks.  There is just something about Fox that just makes me not like her.

The buzz around the entertainment media now, if Fox really did decline to return to Transformers, is that career suicide?  Does Fox not returning drastically hurt her career?

Going into the first Iron Man, it was hard to know what to expect.  You knew Tony Stark was a billionaire so you’re expecting fancy gadgets.  Being introduced to all the fancy gadgets helped make the first Iron Man a great movie.  So with this one, there isn’t a whole lot of new stuff to be introduced to.  A couple things were new, but not like the first.  Comparing this movie to the first isn’t a good way to justify this movie’s grade.  You have to look at it by itself.

I liked this movie.  I have been looking forward to it since the first one came out, and I can honestly say I wasn’t disappointed.  I found myself enjoying the entire movie.  There was great moments of action, drama, comedy and special effects.  This was definitely a great movie to kick off the summer blockbuster season.

Jon Favreau remained on as director for this picture, and he added a lot more action.  But kept it all in-line with the story.  And some sequels [Transformers] add more action and ruin the movie by doing so.  His style is perfect for the Iron Man movies.  He keeps the movie focused while throwing in side bits that spice up the movie.

I don’t mean to reveal any spoilers in this blog but if you look close, very close, there has been an acting change.  James Rhodes is now played by A-lister Don Cheadle in the sequel taking over for Terrence Howard.  I personally felt bad that Howard left the series, but Cheadle fit in just fine.  Lucky for Cheadle, he gets to play around in the War Machine suit, equipped with machine guns, shotguns, and a very nifty rocket launcher.  There is no question that Cheadle is a great cast for this character.  As long as he sticks with the series, Stark’s sidekick role should be solid.

Mickey Rourke steps in as the villain this time around.  He plays the role of Russian physicist Ivan Vanko, aka Whiplash.  I honestly couldn’t see this role being played by anyone else.  He drew the attention while he was on-screen and was a fierce threat to anyone in his way.

Robert Downey Jr., well to be honest, there isn’t much to say about his performance.  This role was meant for him.  There is no Iron Man without Robert.

At the end of the first movie, the Avengers started to poke their way into Hollywood and in this one the story gets better.  Nick Fury makes about 20-25 minutes of camera time, so you know the Avengers movie that is coming out in the next couple years will fall right in line with Iron Man 2. 

The effects were great.  They did not touch the line of over-doing it.  Whiplash’s character, if you didn’t know, basically has a whip in each hand.  This is one way in which the effects can be difficult but it looked great.  So did the Jarvis effects, and all the rest of the technology in this movie.  Favreau and his team nailed the effects on this movie. 

Although I must admit, I do wish the final fight with Whiplash himself would have lasted longer.  Whiplash’s last fight with Iron Man was shorter than you would expect.  When it was over, you do want more.  That is one flaw I have with this movie.  There isn’t a whole lot else that stood out to me.

I give this movie an A.  I think this is definitely a movie worth seeing in theatres and something to purchase on DVD.  I wouldn’t say purchase full price, but definitely add it to the collection.

Check this movie out.  I think it is worth watching several times.

What did/ didn’t you like about this movie?

Yes!  Another Batman movie will hit the big screen on July 20, 2012!  This is arguably one of the greatest movies of all time!  It is one of the top 5 grossing movies of all time, and for good reason.  The script was flawless, the acting was impeccable, the directing was spot-on, the editing was amazing.  This movie had it all.

The Dark Knight is my favorite movie, I just hope, and am pretty sure, July 20, 2012 will change that.

This is going to be historic!

The only thing unanswered at this point is that they are still finishing up the script.  So who should be the villains?   And who should play them?

The lyrics in this song are powerful.  I can’t begin to explain how moving these lyrics are.  This song talks about living life.  Everyone in the world dies, but only some people truly live.  I couldn’t agree more.  There is no point living on Earth and not trying to live life to its fullest.  You only live once.  So live.

McCarthy posted “I’m so grateful for the years Jim and I shared together.  I will continue to be in his daughter’s life and will always keep Jim as a leading man in my heart,” on her Twitter page.

They were together for 5 years before calling it quits.

Without an essential character, odds are that CBS will cancel Two And A Half Men.

So what does that make Sarah Palin and Fox News? 

Palin and Fox News have created a show called “Real American Stories” which is about how great Americans are.  Your typical “make viewers think we care” program.  However, the celebrity interviews they are using, they did not actually collect.  They used interviews of LL Cool J and Toby Keith and changed the meanings of their quotes to fit their program.

The worst part is the statement they released about LL Cool J.
“Real American Stories features uplifting tales about overcoming adversity and we believe Mr. Smith’s interview fit that criteria.  However, as it appears that Mr. Smith does not want to be associated with a program that could serve as an inspiration to others, we are cutting his interview from the special and wish him the best with his fledgling acting career.”

Fledging?  Fledging?  How can you say his career is fledging when his acting career has spanned so many great projects.  Not to mention he is a lead on one of CBS’ hottest shows.

Palin in my opinion is the one who has a fledging career.  She obviously doesn’t care about politics anymore.  All she is concerned about is making a trillion dollars plastering her face on every TV in America.
